Okay here is a secret, I love something more than Salsa and bachata and cha cha. Yes, I love Merengue more than these other dance forms. I would describe Salsa as intense , bachata as sensual , cha cha as elegant , but Merengue is sheer fun.

Many instructors completely neglect this dance in their teaching , its a very simple dance , actually before getting into complex Salsa and hip wracking bachata , I feel instructors should start with merengue. Even merengue music is not played at the popular Salsa parties happening in town.

I would highly recommend merengue for people with two left feet, a little older people who are taking dance for the forst time in their life. As yes for merengue masti Raunaque is the best instructor I can think of. Enjoy these videos !!

If I get a club to host a party, I plan to keep one day just as merengue night Hope the instructors listen and include merengue in their salsa parties .
